Awards on International Women's Day

As the world recognized the contributions of women on March 8th for International Women's Day, our partners in Nepal were officially awarded for helping to protect vulnerable individuals across the country and for providing aid to their communities in 2021.

Sushila is a rescued daughter who works with our partners as a dedicated border counselor. She received an award from the Delhi Commission for Women for her instrumental role in the arrest and conviction of a trafficking ring leader. This is particularly noteworthy as it is extremely difficult to identify, much less locate leaders in trafficking hierarchies whose identities are hidden and protected. Congratulations to Sushila for standing in the gap to protect our daughters.

Additionally, the Biratnagar Border Station team received an award from the NGO Federation of Nepal for their positive impact on the community during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Congratulations to our Biratnagar team, and all our border teams, for your compassion and service during the community’s time of need.
